Biography
Roland Gross (13 January 1909 – 11 February 1989) was an American film and television editor. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he worked in Hollywood from the mid-1930s and amassed more than 40 editing credits on features and series until the mid-1970s.
Gross edited films including The Set-Up (1949), Stromboli (1950), The Thing from Another World (1951), On Dangerous Ground (1951) and The Woman on the Beach (1947). He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for None But the Lonely Heart (1944). His television credits include episodes of The Twilight Zone (1959), Rawhide (1959–1964) and Lost in Space (1965–1968), on which he also worked as supervising editor.
