Biography
Samantha Bond is an English actress. She played Miss Moneypenny opposite Pierce Brosnan in four James Bond films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002). She has also appeared as Lady Rosamund Painswick in the television series Downton Abbey (2010–2015) and its film sequel Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022).
Bond trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She is the daughter of actor Philip Bond and television producer Pat Sandys. Her other television credits include recurring roles in Outnumbered and guest appearances in series such as Agatha Christie's Poirot and Midsomer Murders.
