Biography
Sarah Esdaile is a British television and theatre director. She graduated in English and Drama from Goldsmiths College in 1991 and worked with producers and theatres including Bill Kenwright, Robert Fox and Theatre Royal Brighton. In 1996 she was selected for the first Directors’ Course at the National Theatre Studio and was later Associate Director at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Esdaile moved into television directing in 2019. Her credits include episodes of Call the Midwife (2021–2026), EastEnders (2019–2022), The Chelsea Detective (2023) and Casualty (2025–2026).
