Biography
Sergey Melkumov is a Russian film and television producer. He was born on 11 November 1962 in Makhachkala. In 1992 he co-founded the production company Slovo with Viktor Glukhov and Elena Yatsura. He founded Non-Stop Production in 2005 and has taught producing at the St Petersburg State University of Film and Television since 2006.
Melkumov has produced dozens of films and series. His credits include 9th Company (2005), Elena (2011), Stalingrad (2013), Leviathan (2014), Loveless (2017), Beanpole (2019) and Chernobyl: Abyss (2021). He frequently collaborates with directors such as Andrey Zvyagintsev and Fyodor Bondarchuk.
He has received multiple Russian awards, including Nika, Golden Eagle and TEFI prizes, and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Leviathan.
