Biography

Shigeru Miyamoto is a Japanese video game designer, director and producer at Nintendo. He serves as a Representative Director Fellow and has acted as producer on the animated films The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026).

Miyamoto created the Mario character and franchise. He collaborated with Illumination's Chris Meledandri on the films, which are produced by Nintendo and Illumination.
