Biography
Chris Meledandri is an American film producer and the founder and CEO of Illumination. He previously served as president of 20th Century Fox Animation, where he worked as executive producer on several Blue Sky Studios films including Ice Age (2002) and Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006).
Since founding Illumination in 2007, Meledandri has produced the Despicable Me series, including Despicable Me 4 (2024), as well as The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). He joined Nintendo’s board of directors in 2021. Upcoming credits include Minions & Monsters (2026) and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026). Meledandri is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
