Biography
Stephen Mark is a film and television editor, also credited as Steve Mark. He edited the pilot and much of the first three seasons of the series The X-Files (1993), as well as the 1998 feature film The X-Files: Fight the Future. His other editing credits include the pilots for Roswell, Smallville, Without a Trace and Dark Angel (2000), and multiple episodes of Deadwood (2004).
Mark has received two Primetime Emmy nominations and three American Cinema Editors Eddy nominations. He won Eddy awards for his work on Dark Angel and Deadwood. He has also edited two Academy Award-nominated short films, the documentary The Man on Lincoln’s Nose and the live-action short Graffiti.
He has taught editing at the University of Southern California, Florida State University, Otis College of Art and Design and Columbia College Hollywood, and is a lecturer at Chapman University.
