Biography
Steven Long Mitchell is an American writer, producer and director. He frequently collaborates with writing partner Craig W. Van Sickle. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he has worked across television series, miniseries and feature films.
Mitchell co-created the series The Pretender (1996–2000), on which he also served as executive producer, writer and director. He wrote an episode of 24 (2001) and contributed to NCIS and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With Van Sickle he created Cobra (1993–1994) and She Spies (2002–2004), and wrote and executive-produced the Syfy miniseries Tin Man (2007). He produced episodes of The Flash (1990) and wrote the screenplay for the feature film Ski Patrol (1990).
Mitchell received an Emmy nomination for his work on Tin Man. He has also written novels connected to The Pretender.
