Biography
Juan Carlos Coto is a television writer, producer and director, also credited as Carlos Coto. He has written episodes of 24 (2001) and Heroes (2006), and has contributed to series including Invasion (2005), Standoff (2006), Nikita (2010) and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014). He has served as executive producer on 9-1-1 (2018) and as showrunner on From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.
Coto is a Cuban American who began his career at The Miami Herald. He previously worked as a computer game designer on Spycraft: The Great Game (1995) and acted as consultant on the HBO film For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story (2000). He is the younger brother of writer-producer Manny Coto.
