Biography
Steven Mackintosh is an English actor and narrator. Born on 30 April 1967 in Cambridge, he made his professional stage debut aged 13 or 14 in The Number of the Beast at the Bush Theatre, London, and later appeared in a National Theatre production of Brighton Beach Memoirs.
He is known for his role as Winston in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). Other film credits include The Land Girls (1998), The Jacket (2005), Underworld: Evolution (2006), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), Kick-Ass 2 (2013) and Rocketman (2019). On television he has appeared in Luther (2010) and Doctor Who.
Mackintosh received a nomination for the BAFTA Television Award for Best Actor for his leading role in the BBC film Care (2000). He is married to actress Lisa Jacobs.
