Biography

Stewart Copeland is an American composer and musician. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he is best known as the drummer for the rock band The Police.

Copeland began composing film scores in the early 1980s. His credits include Rumble Fish (1983), Wall Street (1987), Riff-Raff (1991) and She's All That (1999). He has also written for television series such as Dead Like Me (2003–2004).

Copeland has received a Golden Globe nomination for his score to Rumble Fish and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police.
