Biography
Sy Rosen is an American screenwriter and producer. He began his television writing career in 1976 with episodes of The Bob Newhart Show and subsequently wrote for MASH (1972), Taxi, Rhoda, Maude, Sanford, The Wonder Years (1988), Northern Exposure and Frasier* (1993).
Rosen co-created the sitcom Gimme a Break! with Mort Lachman and created Roomies (1987) and The Robert Guillaume Show (1989). His producing credits include The Jeffersons, Sister, Sister and co-executive producer on The Wonder Years.
He graduated from Emory University in 1969 and served in the army. Later work includes the book The Miracle Group (2007) and short films such as The Matchmaker (2018).
