Biography
David Isaacs is an American screenwriter and television producer. He has written for numerous sitcoms, often in collaboration with Ken Levine.
His credits include episodes of MASH (1970s), Cheers (1980s–1990s), its spin-off Frasier (from 1993), and two early episodes of The Simpsons (1990–1991). He later served as a consulting producer and writer on Mad Men for its second season, for which he shared a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Dramatic Series in 2009. Isaacs has received Emmy nominations and one win for his work on Cheers*.
He is a professor and chair of the writing division at the University of Southern California, where he teaches comedy and screenwriting.
