Biography
Tamra Davis is an American film, television and music video director. Born on 22 January 1962 in Studio City, California, she attended Los Angeles City College. She began her career directing music videos for artists including Depeche Mode, Sonic Youth and Hanson before moving into feature films.
Her early feature credits include Guncrazy (1992), CB4 (1993), Billy Madison (1995), Half Baked (1998) and Crossroads (2002). She has also directed documentaries such as Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child (2010). From the mid-2000s she has worked extensively in television, directing episodes of series including Grey's Anatomy (2007), My Name Is Earl (2005), Everybody Hates Chris (2006), Empire (2015), Santa Clarita Diet (2017), High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019) and DC's Stargirl (2020).
