Biography
Thomas Lennon is an American actor, comedian and screenwriter. Born on 9 August 1970 in Oak Park, Illinois, he attended New York University, where he was a member of the sketch comedy troupe The State. The group later created the MTV series The State (1993–1995).
Lennon is best known for playing Lieutenant Jim Dangle in the Comedy Central series Reno 911! (2003–2009, with later revivals). With writing partner Robert Ben Garant he wrote the screenplays for the Night at the Museum films (2006, 2009, 2014) and other studio comedies. He appeared as a doctor in Christopher Nolan’s Memento (2000) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and has acted in films including 17 Again (2009) and I Love You, Man (2009).
He has also written for and appeared in other television series, including The Odd Couple (2015–2017) and Santa Clarita Diet (2017–2019).
