Biography
Todd Field is an American actor and filmmaker. Born William Todd Field on 24 February 1964 in Pomona, California, he was raised in Portland, Oregon. He studied acting in New York and later earned an MFA from the AFI Conservatory.
As an actor, Field appeared in Woody Allen's Radio Days (1987), Victor Nuñez's Ruby in Paradise (1993), Twister (1996) and Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999), in which he played Nick Nightingale. He made his feature directorial debut with In the Bedroom (2001), followed by Little Children (2006) and TÁR (2022). His films have received multiple Academy Award nominations.
