Biography
Tom Savini is an American actor, prosthetic makeup artist, film director and stunt performer. Born on 3 November 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he trained in makeup effects and began working in film in the 1970s.
He is known for his special effects makeup on Dawn of the Dead (1978), Friday the 13th (1980), Creepshow (1982), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) and Day of the Dead (1985). Savini directed the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead and played Sex Machine in From Dusk Till Dawn (1996). He has one credited costume design role.
