Biography

Trent O'Donnell is an Australian television director, producer and screenwriter. He is co-owner of the production company Jungle Entertainment.

He wrote and directed the Australian comedy series Review with Myles Barlow (2008–2010) and co-created A Moody Christmas (2012). In the United States he served as producing director on New Girl (2011) for four seasons and directed episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), The Good Place (2016), Ghosts (2021) and the second-season finale of Hacks (2021). He also directed and co-wrote the feature Ride the Eagle (2021).

O'Donnell and Phil Lloyd received the Fred Parsons Award for Outstanding Contribution to Australian Comedy at the 2022 AWGIE Awards.
