Biography
Vali Chandrasekaran is a television writer and producer. He began his career as a writer and co-producer on the series My Name Is Earl (2005–2009). He subsequently wrote episodes of 30 Rock (2010–2012) and Modern Family (2015–2020), and contributed to American Born Chinese (2023) and The Four Seasons (2025).
Chandrasekaran studied at Harvard University, where he served as an editor of The Harvard Lampoon. He has received Writers Guild of America Award nominations and Primetime Emmy nominations for his writing and producing work. He is married to Nithya Raman.
