Biography
Wendy West is an American television writer and producer. She graduated from Carleton College, where she was active in theatre, and began her television career as a writer and co-producer on the first season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999). She later worked on series including Gideon's Crossing, The Practice and The Closer.
West joined the Showtime series Dexter (2006) in 2009 as a supervising producer and writer for its fourth season. She was promoted to co-executive producer and then executive producer, writing multiple episodes through 2013. Her work on the series earned Primetime Emmy Award and Writers Guild of America Award nominations. She has also written episodes of The Blacklist (2013), Marvel's Inhumans (2017), FBI: Most Wanted (2020) and other series, and created the Polish series Ultraviolet (2017).
