Biography
William Henry was an American actor who worked in film and television. Born in Los Angeles in 1914, he began as a child actor and trained at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. He appeared in juvenile roles early on before becoming a lead in B-westerns and later working as a character actor.
Henry was a member of the John Ford stock company and appeared in twelve of the director's films. His credits include Gilbert Wynant in The Thin Man (1934), roles in The Horse Soldiers (1959), The Alamo (1960), How the West Was Won (1962), The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and El Dorado (1966), and guest appearances on series such as Hogan's Heroes and The Six Million Dollar Man. He died in Los Angeles in 1982.
