Biography
Adam James is an English actor. He was born in London on 9 September 1972 and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 1996.
He first came to prominence with a role in the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers. His television credits include guest appearances in Extras, Doctor Who, Foyle's War and You, and more recent series such as The Day of the Jackal (2024). Film roles include A Little Chaos (2015), Johnny English Strikes Again (2018) and We Live in Time (2024), in which he played Simon Maxson.
On stage, James has appeared in productions including The Pride (2010), for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award, and King Charles III on Broadway. He married former actress Victoria Shalet in 2015.
