Biography
Adrian Schiller (21 February 1964 – 3 April 2024) was a British actor. He played John Thurloe in the Channel 4 series The Devil's Whore (2008).
He read philosophy at University College London. His stage credits included work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre, as well as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (2022) at Shakespeare’s Globe and Kulygin in Three Sisters (2012) at the Young Vic.
On screen he appeared as Aethelhelm in The Last Kingdom (2018–2022) and Cornelius Penge in Victoria (2016–2019). Film roles included Rasmussen in The Danish Girl (2015), Monsieur D'Arque in Beauty and the Beast (2017) and David Lloyd George in Suffragette (2015).
