Biography

Allan Ekelund (1918–2009) was a Swedish film producer and production manager. He began working in the industry in 1941 as an assistant director and script supervisor, later advancing to production roles at Svensk Filmindustri and briefly at Terrafilm.

Ekelund produced or served as production manager on numerous films, including many directed by Ingmar Bergman. His credits include Summer Interlude (1951), Summer with Monika (1953), Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), The Seventh Seal (1957), Wild Strawberries (1957), The Virgin Spring (1960), Through a Glass Darkly (1961), Winter Light (1963) and The Silence (1963). He produced around 50 films between 1947 and 1964.
