Biography

Allison Abbate is an American film producer and animator, primarily of animated features. She began her career at Walt Disney Pictures, working on The Little Mermaid (1989) and later The Rescuers Down Under (1990) and Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).

Abbate joined Warner Bros. in the mid-1990s as animation co-producer on Space Jam (1996). She produced Brad Bird's The Iron Giant (1999), for which she received a BAFTA Children's Award. She later produced Burton's Corpse Bride (2005), Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) and Burton's Frankenweenie (2012). In 2004 she moved to the United Kingdom to establish an animation facility at 3 Mills Studios in London.

Abbate served as executive producer on The Lego Movie (2014) and other Warner Animation Group projects. She has been married to animation director Tony Cervone since 2012.
