Biography
Amanda Walker is a British actress. Born Amanda Galafres Patterson Walker on 29 November 1935 in Glasgow, Scotland, she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and has appeared in over 100 film and television productions since 1959.
She is known for roles including The Cockney Signora in A Room with a View (1985), Lady Hampton in The English Patient (1996), Sally in 28 Weeks Later (2007), Antique Store Owner in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Veronica in Cloud Atlas (2012), and Clementine in Triangle of Sadness (2022).
Walker is the daughter of actress Madeleine Christie. She was married to actor Patrick Godfrey from 1960 until his death in 2026; they had two children, including Kate Godfrey, Head of Voice for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
