Biography

Andrew Gunn is a British television director. He was born in Staffordshire and grew up on Tyneside. He attended film school in Surrey and Dorset.

His early work included writing and directing award-winning short films, among them his graduation film Mermaids (1987), which starred a young Robson Green. He later directed episodes of series including Green Wing (2004), Life on Mars (2006), Cape Wrath (2007), Survivors (2008), Primeval (2008), Doctor Who (2010), Wolfblood (2012) and Get Even (2020). He has also worked on Hollyoaks and received Royal Television Society awards for his short films.
