Biography
Anna Bartuli is a Russian costume designer. She was raised in Novosibirsk and graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) with a major in Production Design. She began working in film as a costume designer and has also pursued painting in oil and watercolour.
Bartuli has designed costumes for all of Andrey Zvyagintsev’s films since 2002, including The Return (2003), The Banishment (2007), Elena (2011), Leviathan (2014) and Loveless (2017). She has also worked with director Aleksandr Proshkin on The Miracle (2007), Redemption (2011) and The Guards (2015), and on other films such as Silent Souls (2010) and The Man Who Surprised Everyone (2018).
