Biography
Antoine Fuqua is an American film director and producer. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he began his career directing music videos for artists including Toni Braxton, Coolio, Stevie Wonder and Prince before moving into feature films.
His debut feature was the action film The Replacement Killers (1998). He is best known for directing Training Day (2001), Tears of the Sun (2003), Shooter (2007), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), The Equalizer (2014), Southpaw (2015), The Magnificent Seven (2016), The Equalizer 2 (2018), The Equalizer 3 (2023) and the biopic Michael (2026). He has collaborated frequently with actor Denzel Washington.
