Biography

Ari Wegner is an Australian cinematographer. She was born on 3 May 1984 in Melbourne, Victoria.

Wegner studied film at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her credits include Lady Macbeth (2016), True History of the Kelly Gang (2019), The Power of the Dog (2021), The Wonder (2022), Eileen (2023) and Drive-Away Dolls (2024). She served as director of photography on the pilot episode of the series Little House on the Prairie (2026).

For The Power of the Dog she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography. She is a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and the American Society of Cinematographers.
