Biography
Ben Procter is an American production designer, art director and concept artist. He graduated with a degree in fine arts from the University of California, Los Angeles.
He began working in the film industry in the early 2000s, with early credits including concept artist on Superman Returns (2006) and illustrator on Transformers (2007). He served as art director on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), TRON: Legacy (2010), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), and as production designer on Ender's Game (2013).
Procter has collaborated extensively with director James Cameron on the Avatar series. He worked as concept art director on the first film (2009) and as co-production designer with Dylan Cole on Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) and Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025), focusing on human technology and hard-surface assets. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Production Design for Avatar: The Way of Water.
