Biography
Bobby Krlic, also known as The Haxan Cloak, is a British composer, musician and record producer. Born on 20 December 1985 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, he studied music and visual arts at the University of Brighton. He first gained recognition releasing two albums under his stage name, The Haxan Cloak (2011) and Excavation (2013).
As a composer he is known for his film scores, including Ari Aster’s Midsommar (2019), Beau Is Afraid (2023) and Eddington (2025, co-composed with Daniel Pemberton), as well as Blue Beetle (2023). His television credits include Beef, Snowpiercer and The Alienist. He has also worked as a producer with artists including Björk, Goldfrapp and Father John Misty. Krlic won the Ivor Novello Award for his score to Midsommar.
