Biography

Lars Knudsen is a Danish film producer. He was educated at the Aarhus School of Business and began his career in New York, where he worked as an assistant to producer Scott Rudin. In 2004 he co-founded the production company Parts & Labor with Jay Van Hoy; the partnership ended in 2016.

In 2019 Knudsen co-founded Square Peg with director Ari Aster. The company has produced films including Midsommar (2019), The Northman (2022), Beau Is Afraid (2023) and Dream Scenario (2023). Knudsen’s earlier credits include The Witch (2015), American Honey (2016) and Hereditary (2018).

His recent producing credits include Eddington (2025) and The Drama (2026).
