Biography
Bruce Kessler was an American film and television director. Born in Seattle, he began as a racing driver in the 1950s before retiring after several crashes. He transitioned to filmmaking with the short The Sound of Speed and worked as second unit director on Howard Hawks' Red Line 7000 (1965).
Kessler directed feature films including Angels from Hell (1968), Killers Three (1968), The Gay Deceivers (1969) and Simon, King of the Witches (1971). He became a prolific television director, with credits on series such as Mission: Impossible (1966), The Monkees, The Flying Nun, The Rockford Files, CHiPs, The A-Team, Knight Rider and MacGyver. He retired from directing in the 1990s and died on 4 April 2024.
