Biography
Robert Hamner was an American television writer and producer. Born in New York in 1928, he began his career in the early 1960s and contributed scripts to numerous series throughout the decade.
His credits include episodes of The Fugitive (1963), Mission: Impossible (1966), Star Trek (1966), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and Lost in Space. He created the 1975 series S.W.A.T. and later wrote for shows including MacGyver, Murder, She Wrote, and the 1988 revival of Mission: Impossible. Hamner also worked as a producer on several television films. He died in Los Angeles in 1996.
