Biography

Catherine George is a costume designer born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She worked in fashion design before entering the film industry and moved to the United States in the early 2000s. She is now based in New York City.

George began her film career as a wardrobe supervisor on Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes (2003). She has collaborated repeatedly with directors including Jarmusch on Paterson (2016), The Dead Don’t Die (2019) and Father Mother Sister Brother (2025); Bong Joon Ho on Snowpiercer (2013), Okja (2017) and Mickey 17 (2025); and Lynne Ramsay on We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) and Die My Love (2025). Her television credits include the pilot episode of Succession (2018).

She is the sister of director Terry George, for whom she designed costumes on Reservation Road (2007).
