Biography
Charles Pattinson is a British television producer. He began his career in the theatre as an assistant director at the Royal Court Theatre in the mid-1980s. In 1985 he joined the BBC as a production trainee and later became a producer in the drama department.
He produced the BBC series Our Friends in the North (1996), which won BAFTA and Royal Television Society awards for Best Drama Serial, and The Lakes (1997). In 1998 he co-founded the independent production company Company Pictures with George Faber. He later co-founded New Pictures in 2013, where he serves as non-executive chair.
Pattinson has been executive producer on series including Shameless, Skins, The White Queen (2013), Elizabeth I (2005) and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers (2004).
