Biography

Claudio Miranda, ASC is a Chilean-American cinematographer. Born in Valparaíso, Chile in 1965, he began his career in the 1990s as a gaffer for David Fincher on films including Seven (1995), The Game (1997) and Fight Club (1999), later serving as additional photographer on Zodiac (2007).

He has maintained a long collaboration with director Joseph Kosinski, serving as director of photography on TRON: Legacy (2010), Oblivion (2013), Only the Brave (2017), Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and F1 (2025). Miranda won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Ang Lee's Life of Pi (2012) and received a nomination for Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2009.
