Biography
Dan Jinks is an American film and television producer. He produced American Beauty (1999) with Bruce Cohen; the pair won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Jinks began his career in theatre in New York before moving into film. Early credits include producing Nothing to Lose (1997) and serving as executive producer on The Bone Collector (1999).
With Cohen he also produced Down with Love (2003), Big Fish (2003) and Milk (2008). In February 2010 he launched his own company, the Dan Jinks Company, and in July 2011 signed an overall deal with CBS Television Studios.
