Biography

Dick Miller (1928–2019) was an American character actor. He appeared in more than 180 films, including many produced by Roger Corman, and in every film directed by Joe Dante. He later worked with directors including James Cameron and Martin Scorsese.

Miller is known for roles such as Murray Futterman in Gremlins (1984) and Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990), the pawnshop clerk in The Terminator (1984), and the voice of Chuckie Sol in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993). Other credits include The 'Burbs (1989), Small Soldiers (1998) and Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).

Born Richard Miller in the Bronx, New York, he attended Columbia University and the City College of New York, and served in the US Navy.
