Biography
Dickon Hinchliffe is a British composer. Born on 9 July 1967, he is a founding member of the band Tindersticks, for which he played violin and guitar and contributed orchestral arrangements. He began scoring films after working with director Claire Denis on projects including Nénette et Boni (1996) and made his solo debut with Vendredi soir (2002).
Hinchliffe is known for his scores to independent films such as Forty Shades of Blue (2005), Winter's Bone (2010), Locke (2014), Out of the Furnace (2013), Leave No Trace (2018) and The Lost Daughter (2021). He has also composed for television, including episodes of Peaky Blinders (2016), and collaborated with directors including Debra Granik, Stephen Knight and Ira Sachs.
