Biography
Dale Dickey is an American actress. Born Diana Dale Dickey on 29 September 1961 in Knoxville, Tennessee, she attended Bearden High School and the University of Tennessee. She began her career in theatre, appearing in Broadway productions including The Merchant of Venice (1989) and receiving two Ovation Awards for her stage work in Los Angeles.
Dickey has worked extensively in film and television as a character actor. She is known for roles in Winter's Bone (2010), for which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female, Changeling (2008), Super 8 (2011), Iron Man 3 (2013), Hell or High Water (2016) and series including My Name Is Earl, Breaking Bad, True Blood and Grey's Anatomy. She has more than 150 acting credits.
In 2026 she played Rosemary, a town hall employee, in the Apple TV+ series Widow's Bay, her first series-regular role, earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
