Biography

Donald R. Rode is an American film and television editor. He began working on Star Trek (1966) as an assistant editor in the first season before becoming a full editor for the second and third seasons. He also edited episodes of Mission: Impossible (1966).

Rode's other credits include Petrocelli (1974), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Film Editing for a Drama Series, Shōgun (1980), MacGyver (1985), Tank (1984), and several television films such as Murder in Three Acts (1986) and Dead Man's Folly (1986). He received additional Emmy nominations for his work on Star Trek and Shōgun.
