Biography
Doug Mitchell is a film producer. His career began in the mid-1980s as a member of the Kennedy Miller production house in Sydney, where he became a longtime producing partner of director George Miller. The company was later renamed Kennedy Miller Mitchell in recognition of his role.
Mitchell has produced Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024), both with Miller. Earlier credits include Babe (1995), which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, and Happy Feet (2006), which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. He has also received AACTA Awards for Best Film for The Year My Voice Broke (1987) and Flirting (1991).
