Biography
Douglas Urbanski is an American film producer. Born on 17 February 1957 in Somerville, New Jersey, he graduated from Immaculata High School and was active as a theatrical producer on Broadway and in London during the 1980s. He is the longtime manager and producing partner of actor Gary Oldman; the pair co-founded the production company SE8 Group.
Urbanski produced Nil by Mouth (1997), Gary Oldman’s directorial debut, for which he received a BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film. His other credits include The Contender (2000), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Darkest Hour (2017, for which he received an Academy Award nomination), Mank (2020) and the Apple TV+ series Slow Horses (2022–). He has also appeared as an actor, notably playing Larry Summers in The Social Network (2010).
Urbanski is married to television producer Diane Wilk.
