Eric Bauza can supply much of a cartoon cast without making the joke about his own dexterity. We rate his work because the familiar characters are still funny when the references mean nothing.

In Coyote vs. Acme (2026), Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig all speak with Eric Bauza’s voice. They remain distinct comic characters, and that is the reason we rate his work. Dave Green’s film lets them contribute to the jokes without requiring an audience fluent in Looney Tunes. We laughed without feeling we were being tested on our childhood viewing: the characters are funny company, with the references available as extras.
Much of his work involves taking over characters an audience already knows, a job with little room for getting the sound wrong. The Adventures of Puss in Boots (2015) gave him the title role, while the mid-2010s brought increasing responsibility for the Looney Tunes cast. In Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020), he was the lead voice performer, with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Tweety among his parts. Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021) put his multiple voices into a live-action and animation feature. Bauza’s own emphasis is on grounding the character through acting, not simply reproducing a sound.
The useful test is what happens when the writing is less inventive, and Coyote vs. Acme has its limitations. Its corporate satire settles for easy targets, a weakness no collection of well-performed voices can repair. Green does better with the friendship between a coyote and his lawyer, which gives the silliness someone to care about. Bauza’s contribution fits that modest ambition: he keeps the familiar characters useful to the comedy without making their presence a reason to stop and applaud.
Minions & Monsters (2026), directed by Pierre Coffin, offers less scope for judging him individually: he is credited with additional voices. Its first hour finds plenty to enjoy in 1920s Hollywood before the film becomes more routine. We would not assign those pleasures or shortcomings to Bauza on the strength of that credit. Start with Coyote vs. Acme, and listen to how little the comedy depends on knowing that one actor is doing so much of it.

Eric Bauza is a Canadian voice actor born on 7 December 1979 in Scarborough, Toronto. He trained in animation at Centennial College before moving to the United States, where voice work became his primary career.
Bauza is known for voicing multiple Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian. Other roles include Foop in The Fairly OddParents, White Pantera in El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Puss in Boots in The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and Additional Voices in Minions & Monsters (2026). He has won three Emmy Awards for voice performance in animated programmes.
