Biography
Ethan Slater is an American actor and singer. Born on 2 June 1992 in Washington, D.C., he studied drama at Vassar College.
He originated the title role in the Broadway musical SpongeBob SquarePants (2017), winning a Drama Desk Award and receiving a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He played Boq in the film adaptations Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025).
His other screen credits include guest roles in Gen V (2023), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017), Elsbeth (2024) and Fosse/Verdon (2019).
