Biography
Frank South is an American television writer, producer and occasional director. His early credits include the teleplays for the 1982 television films Precious Blood and Rattlesnake in a Cooler, adapted from his stage plays. He wrote one episode of the series Hill Street Blues in 1985 and contributed multiple episodes to Cagney & Lacey between 1985 and 1987, also serving as story editor on the latter.
South created the series Models Inc. (1994) and Going to Extremes (1992–1993). He worked extensively on Melrose Place (1992–1998) as writer, supervising producer, co-executive producer and executive producer, and later as co-executive producer and writer on Baywatch (2000–2001). He has been married to Margaret South since December 1985; they have two children.
