Biography

Freeman A. Davies is an American film and television editor. Born on 11 July 1945 in California, he began his career in the editorial department on films including Logan's Run (1976).

Davies has edited numerous feature films, including The Warriors (1979), 48 Hrs. (1982), Streets of Fire (1984), Red Heat (1988), Last Man Standing (1996) and The Horse Whisperer (1998). His television credits include an episode of the series Deadwood (2004) and episodes of the mini-series Broken Trail (2006). He received an American Cinema Editors Eddie nomination for The Horse Whisperer and a Primetime Emmy nomination for Broken Trail. He has frequently collaborated with director Walter Hill.
