Biography
George MacKay is an English actor. He began his career as a child actor, appearing as Curly in Peter Pan (2003). He later took starring roles in Private Peaceful (2012), How I Live Now (2013), For Those in Peril (2013) and Marrowbone (2017).
MacKay gained wider recognition for his leading role as Lance Corporal Schofield in the war film 1917 (2019). He played Preston in the thriller Femme (2023), for which he won a British Independent Film Award, Louis in The Beast (2024) and Nick Dyer in Rose of Nevada (2025). He was born in Hammersmith, London, on 13 March 1992.
